About Us

My name is Caroline Perrin and I live in Taunton close to the town centre.
Since studying my BTEC National Diploma I have spent my working life in childcare. I have enjoyed working in Nurseries and being a nanny for a family abroad.
I've had a range of experience with all ages of children.
I registered with Ofsted in September 2011, since opening we are now a very well established setting amongst families and other settings.
I regularly attend training courses and workshops to continue my professional development to ensure that I am always up to date and have the knowledge and understanding to ensure I give all the children the very best start in life.

I have received training and attended courses in different areas of childcare, these include:-
Introduction to Child Protection
Paediatric First Aid
Food Safety and Hygiene
Somerset Total Communication in the Early Years
Foundation Stage Special Educational Needs: Early Identification and Support
Safeguarding for the designated lead role of the childminder
Safeguarding – recording and reporting concerns.

Leah first came to Little Stars in February 2020 to start her Level 2 apprenticeship.
She formed such lovely relationships with the children, providing them with the love, care and attention that they need. Leah loves to be creative and the children always enjoy making their little masterpieces with her.
Leah has now completed both her Level 2 and Level 3 in Early Childhood.
